Born on 7th of January 1951 in Salzburg. As a child she received piano-and also violin lessons. Later she studied flute at the musical highschool in Oberschützen, Burgenland. After finishing her studies, she was teaching at the musicschools of Oberwart, Großpetersdorf and Pinkafeld. Since 1984 she is teaching at the Musicschoolwork of the Country of Upper Austria, in Bad Ischl and Bad Goisern. Christa Exner has played in the Orchestra of Bad Ischl for 25 years und still plays in a concertband and also chambermusic. She is a member oft he flute quartett „Syrinx“ Flute Lessons for beginners take place in grops of two students or more. We work on creating tones, rhythmic games and training oft he fingering. Later we take care of expression an colouring the tone, of corse technical trainig is necessary.
The best age to start with the flute is between 9 and 12 years or later. A solid instrument for students costs about € 700.- In some strores it can be rented. Harp Lessons: There are samll harps available for children. Irisch harps or pedal harps cost between € 3000 and 7000. We play folk music, irish, early french and italian music, klezmer…..music from renaissance, barocque, classic until to midern music.
